Choosing a preschool isn’t a decision that should be taken lightly. Deciding where you’ll leave your child every workday is something that should be considered with great care. That’s because it’s not just your child’s physical well-being that’s being taken care of, but their mental, emotional, and intellectual health as well.

At A-2-Z Academy of Early Learning, we make sure that the environment we create for the children in our care helps them thrive. We’re not just a daycare center, and we’re not just a preschool. We’re so much more than that, an early learning center that helps the entire child grow. Here are the three primary reasons parents end up choosing A-2-Z.

Age-Appropriate Teaching

There are two standard types of preschools out there. First, there is the kind that is basically just there to satisfy a parent’s need to put their child somewhere during a workday. Yes, kids are kept safe and have a chance to play and have fun, but these smaller daycare centers don’t really have the staff to do much more than ensure the kids have a place to be.

While those types of daycare centers serve a particular need, most parents are more interested in having their children spend their days in childcare that has specific goals. Larger daycare centers will have children of different ages in specific classrooms, ensuring that they’re getting age-appropriate teaching.

At A-2-Z Academy of Early Learning, we have the pedagogy in place so that each age gets the teaching the need most. While the kids might not know that they’re learning because they’re having so much fun, they’re still discovering the world in a way that best matches their age. At our early education center, we have five distinct teaching “grades” — infants, toddlers, two-year-olds, three-year-olds, and pre-kindergarten.

STEM For Preschoolers

If you’re not familiar with the term, STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. While STEM classes are found throughout the school system from kindergarten all the way through high school, we’re helping children at our early childhood education center form an early love for these four mind-building curricula.

Of course, STEM teaching is always age-appropriate, just as all of our classes are. During STEM classes, children learn more about the world around them and how they interact with that world. It’s a great way to get them interested in learning about scientific fields from an early age!

Music & Movement

Music is a great way to help a child grow. Learning about music from an early age helps children’s brains learn in new ways, and not just about music. Early music teaching can also help children develop a lifelong love of music.

Of course, let’s not forget about movement. Believe it or not, movement isn’t just about getting kids active; it also helps kids learn. Studies show that kids who move more actually learn better, and that’s exactly what we want. We bring in The Jam Cats to give kids an excellent introduction to music.
